Convent leads a EUR 6.3 million Series B in Computomics, backing the machine learning platform breeders use to predict how new varieties will hold up as the climate shifts.

The Convent team is proud to announce its latest investment in Computomics from our Agri-Food impact fund. We led this EUR 6.3 million round, investing EUR 5 million, alongside existing investors High-Tech Gründerfonds, MBG Baden-Württemberg and Amathaon Capital, backing the Tübingen-based team as it scales its climate-smart breeding platform. Computomics' solutions help breeders see how a variety will perform before the field tells them. As heat and drought increasingly cut into yields across Europe, that foresight is becoming essential to keeping breeding programs ahead of a shifting climate.
